The Springboks must flex their muscles against the Georgians. They must make a statement win and not hold back despite the many changes that were made.
Rassie Erasmus rang the changes as he continues to experiment, rotate and offer debuts for a fresh, new-look front row. The debutants are part of the 10 changes to the team that played against Italy last week. In total, there are 17 changes to the match day 23.
Massive improvement occurred from game one to game two against Italy. But now is the time show no mercy even though it is a weaker opponent. The Springboks set the bar high, and the team picked for match day is expected to live up to it.
The next time the Boks play will be their opening Rugby Championship game against the Wallabies on August 16th. Erasmus will have the demanding task of culling his final squad down to 35-men. He has highlighted that he will have a thorough look at all his players performances over the 4 games, and all training sessions, and pick a highly competitive balanced squad.
Punters would need to consider the multiple changes that occurred. But also understand the quality of the Boks on the bench that will come on and provide extra firepower. The Boks should defeat Georgia, but they need to do it in emphatic style. We can expect a winning margin of around 25-35 points or more.
