SILVA SET TO LEAVE CITY

Bernardo Silva has confirmed he will leave Manchester City at the end of the season.

The Portuguese midfielder’s departure was confirmed by assistant manager Pep Lijnders, with his contract set to expire in June. This will bring an emotional close to a successful nine-year spell at the club.

Since joining City from Monaco in 2017, Silva has become one of the most influential players of the modern era under Pep Guardiola. Known for his creativity, work rate, and versatility, he has made around 450 appearances for the club, scoring approximately 76 goals and providing over 70 assists across all competitions.

In the Premier League alone, Silva has contributed more than 40 goals and close to 50 assists, underlining his consistency at the highest level. This season, he has added a modest return of about 3 goals and 5 assists, but his overall influence extends far beyond statistics.

During his time at City, Silva has won multiple major honours, including six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League, cementing his legacy as a club legend. His departure marks the end of an era and leaves a significant void in City’s midfield.
