ROYAL WHIPPING FOR SUPER KINGS
Chennai Super Kings endured a disappointing start to their IPL 2026 campaign, going down to Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets in Guwahati.
Batting first, CSK struggled early, losing four wickets inside the powerplay and eventually posting a modest 127 all out in 19.4 overs. Jamie Overton was unbeaten on 43 but he had to watch his teammates fall around him.
Nandre Burger led the Royals’ bowling effort with figures of 2/26, well supported by disciplined spells from the attack.
In reply, Rajasthan chased the target comfortably, reaching 128/2 in just 12.1 overs. Teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi stole the show with a blistering 52 off 17 balls, including five sixes, sealing victory in emphatic fashion.

Rajasthan’s dominant performance highlighted both their bowling depth and explosive batting firepower. Chennai will need to go back to the drawing board and become organised before their second game against the other KINGS!
