Mohamed Salah to Leave Liverpool FC at the End of the 2025/26 Season

Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah will bring the curtain down on his illustrious spell at Anfield at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, marking the close of a remarkable nine-year chapter with the Reds.

The Egyptian forward has reached an agreement with Liverpool that will see him depart following the conclusion of the season. Salah chose to share the news early with supporters, highlighting his respect and gratitude for the fans who have backed him throughout his historic stay on Merseyside.

Signed from AS Roma in the summer of 2017, the No.11 quickly cemented his status as one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever players. During his time at the club, Salah played a pivotal role in delivering major silverware, including two Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup, two EFL Cup trophies, and an FA Community Shield.

Salah’s impact has been extraordinary. With 255 goals in 435 appearances, he currently sits third on Liverpool’s all-time leading scorers list. He also claimed the Premier League Golden Boot four times, alongside numerous individual accolades that underline his influence in English and European football.

Despite the announcement, Salah remains fully focused on finishing the current season strongly. With key fixtures still ahead, the forward is determined to help Liverpool secure the best possible outcome before fans get the chance to properly celebrate his legacy later this year when he bids farewell to Anfield.
