MAGUIRE SIGNS NEW CONTRACT WITH UNITED

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has signed a new contract with the club.

The 33-year-old’s previous Man Utd deal was due to expire at the end of the season. Harry has now penned a new one-year contract at Old Trafford, with the additional option of a further 12 months.

The experienced centre-back has extended his stay at Old Trafford, reaffirming the club’s faith in him. Maguire, who has faced both criticism and praise during his tenure, expressed his commitment to helping United compete for major honours.

Managerial staff highlighted Maguire’s leadership qualities, professionalism, and influence in the dressing room as key reasons behind the renewal. The deal is seen as a move to maintain defensive stability, with Maguire expected to play a significant role as United aim to strengthen their squad and challenge domestically and in Europe.

Speaking after signing his new deal, he told the club’s website: “Representing Manchester United is the ultimate honour. It is a responsibility that makes myself and my family proud every single day.

“I am delighted to extend my journey at this incredible club to at least eight seasons and continue to play in front of our special supporters to create more amazing moments together.

“You can feel the ambition and potential of this exciting squad. The determination throughout the whole club to fight for major trophies is clear for everyone to see and I am confident that our best moments together remain ahead of us.”

United face Leeds on Monday night at Old Trafford and Harry is likely to start at this point. The Red Devils have seven games remaining and will be going all out for maximum points to secure Champions League football for next season.
