INDIA – THREE TIME CHAMPIONS

The T20 World Cup Final between India and New Zealand turned into a one–sided spectacle as India delivered a dominant performance to secure the trophy in emphatic fashion. From the moment the match began, India looked sharper, more aggressive, and completely in control of the occasion.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, India’s top order wasted no time putting pressure on the New Zealand bowlers. The innings was built around a brilliant knock from Sanju Samson, who played one of the finest innings of the tournament. Samson combined power with precision, striking boundaries all around the ground and keeping the run rate soaring. His attacking approach set the tone for the entire innings and kept New Zealand constantly on the back foot.

Alongside him, Ishan Kishan provided explosive support. Kishan’s quick-fire half-century came off just 25 balls and included several towering sixes that electrified the crowd. The pair ensured India maintained momentum throughout the innings, finishing with a massive total that immediately put New Zealand under serious pressure.

Chasing such a daunting score in a World Cup final was always going to be difficult, and New Zealand struggled to settle into their innings. India’s bowling attack, led by Jasprit Bumrah, produced a clinical display. Bumrah’s pace, accuracy, and deadly Yorkers dismantled the Kiwi batting lineup, with his spell proving to be the turning point of the match.

Spinner Axar Patel also played a crucial role, picking up key wickets and preventing any middle-order recovery from New Zealand. The constant fall of wickets meant the chase never truly got going, and the pressure continued to mount.

In the end, New Zealand was bowled out well short of the target, handing India a commanding 96-run victory. The final showcased India’s complete dominance with both bat and ball, as they became the first nation to win the tournament three times.
