The European Champions looked set to solidify their self-proclaimed right to be the world’s best club after they smashed Real Madrid in the semis. The Blues entered the final on a good run of form but were labelled underdogs.
That changed within the first 10 minutes as ‘Ice Cold’ Cole Palmer stunned the football fraternity with two superb goals. The result was sealed just before the break as Palmer sent Joao Pedro to chip the onrushing Gianluigi Donnarumma. PSG fought hard to break down the Blues but to no avail.
Any hopes of a miraculous comeback were gone after João Neves was sent off for pulling on Marc Cucurella’s hair. However, madness ensued at the final whistle, with the players and management of both teams getting physically entangled.
