The Hammers will try their best to end the year on a high note. They’ll need to use their home-ground advantage to overcome their four-game rot. This won’t be an easy feat considering the way the Bees are currently performing. Thomas Frank has signed a new deal with Brentford until 2027. He’d like to end the year with a solid win. West Ham boss David Moyes is under immense pressure following the Boxing Day loss to Arsenal. This could be the ideal opportunity to restore some faith amongst the fans, but a win is vital.
Liverpool vs Leicester
Despite being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Man City. Liverpool did well to secure a win over Aston Villa on Boxing Day. The potential signing of Cody Gakpo is to be completed soon and that should give Jurgen Klopp’s men an excellent opportunity to have a stronger second half of the season. The Foxes struggled against Newcastle, and it looks like that will continue as a win at Anfield is unlikely.
Wolves vs Man United
Wolves left it until the dying moments at Goodison Park to snatch an important three points on Boxing day. Despite their valiant effort, they still languish in the relegation zone and face a United outfit that is starting to look like a proper title-challenging club. Julian Lopetegui would love nothing but a huge win to end 2022, but it’s going to be a mountain to climb. United have shown that they can compete without Ronaldo. This will be an opportunity for United to move into the top four for the 1st time this season. Erik Ten Hag will be expecting to close the year off in style.
