The Three Lions skipper was ready to move to Manchester City last summer but remained at White Hart Lane after the Citizens would not match Daniel Levy’s valuation of Tottenham’s crown jewel. This time around, he’s been heavily linked to the red half of Manchester, as United seek a new man to spearhead their attack.
Will Kane be in red next season? Will Levy gamble on losing Kane for free at the end of next season?
Harry has a year remaining on his current contract, hasn’t agreed to any extension yet, and Levy has stated that he will not sell his star striker for less than £100 million. If Tottenham sold him this off season, they could invest the windfall in their rebuild, or risk losing him for nothing when his contract ends.
Despite the interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid, Kane would probably want to remain in the Premier League to hunt down Alan Shearer’s long-standing record.
For King Kane, a move to Old Trafford looks like a no brainer. United are on the up under Erik Ten Hag, he can play Champions League football and he’ll remain in the League to chase down the record. But the ongoing sale of United could be a stumbling block to get him in time before the start of the season.
This would be the ideal time for Kane take on a new chapter in his life. And, with a new manager in place, the perfect time for Tottenham to bring in a new focal point for their attack.
Only time will tell.
