On paper there is only one fixture that promises to be spectacular, Liverpool away at Tottenham. But this is the Premier League where there are no easy games and plenty of talent that could cause upsets.

Aston Villa vs Brighton
30/09/2023 – 13:30

Aston Villa and Brighton have enjoyed great starts to the new season. The Seagulls sit third on the table with 15 points, while hosts Villa, sixth on 12 points. But both clubs were knocked out of the Carabao Cup during the week. They will look to bounce back, and we can expect an end-to-end contest. But with Brighton one of just three PL sides with a 100% winning record on the road in PL action this season. This is the ideal time for Roberto Di Zerbi to end his Villa hoodoo.
BRIGHTON TO WIN

Bournemouth vs Arsenal
30/09/2023 – 16:00

The Cherries are one of four clubs that have yet to register a win this season. To make matters worse, they possess the longest current winless (10 games) run in the Premier League (D3, L7). Despite picking up a 2-0 victory over Stoke in the Carabao Cup. It’s likely that they’ll struggle against the Gunners and succumb to a defeat. Arsenal have done well on their travels and should clinch the win.
ARSENAL TO WIN

Everton vs Luton
30/09/2023 – 16:00

The Toffees finally got their first win of the season (3-1 over Brentford). They followed that up with a cup win over Villa during the week. Luton’s struggles poured over to the cup, as they were ousted by League One’s Exeter City. Manager Rob Edwards stated that his side “never looked like scoring” in the game, which is an extension of ongoing attacking woes. Luton is the only remaining PL side yet to take the lead this season. Everton will be looking to Dominic Calvert-Lewin to get on the scoresheet as he closes in on the 50th mark.
EVERTON TO WIN

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace
30/09/2023 – 16:00

United and the Eagles will meet for the second time in five days. Erik Ten Hag rang the changes for their Cup clash, and they walked away with a comfortable 3-0 win. It won’t be that simple over the weekend as Roy Hodgson will select his strongest XI. Consistency is key for United and that’s what will be expected of them. Palace will pose a threat with their speed, but we could see a new midfield pairing of Amrabat and Casemiro that could be vital going forward.
MAN UNITED TO WIN.

Newcastle vs Burnley
30/09/2023 – 16:00

After a dismal start to the season, Eddie Howe’s Magpies have turned things around. They got their first win over Brentford and went on to hammer Sheffield United last weekend. Castle became the first team in Premier League history to have eight different goal-scorers (excluding own goals) in a single game. They followed that up by knocking out Manchester City in the Carabao Cup and will look to carry that momentum into Saturday. It’s going to be a long evening for the Clarets, and we should see a comfortable home win.
NEWCASTLE TO WIN

West Ham vs Sheffield United
30/09/2023 – 16:00

Only one Premier League has ever lost by 8 goals and come back to win their next fixture. Sheffield United are unlikely to change that this weekend when they travel to the London Stadium to play West Ham. The Hammers have lost twice this season – to Liverpool and Manchester City – and have never been beaten by a newly promoted side and should easily avoid being cut by the Blades.

WEST HAM TO WIN

Wolves vs Manchester City

30/09/2023 – 16:00

Pep Guardiola considered his new midfielder, Matheus Nunes, “one of the best players in the world”. With key injuries in the centre of the park, Nunes is likely to start at Molineaux. It will be the first time the player has returned to Wolves since he left the clubs training ground angry that the club were refusing to sell him to City. No matter the anger from the stands, City should have no problem overcoming a team who have already lost twice at home this season.

MANCHESTER CITY TO WIN

Spurs vs Liverpool

30/09/2023 – 18:30

Spurs went to Arsenal last week and came away with a draw. This weekend they welcome Liverpool in the next big test of Angeball, in the pick of the weekend’s fixtures. Liverpool have not lost to Spurs since a 4 – 1 thumping in 2017 and managed to do the double over them last season. Both teams have come from behind to win at least twice this season so expect this to be a game of goals as great attacking talent come up against leaky defences. Both managers will be desperate for a win to keep pace with all-conquering City, but a draw is the most likely result.

DRAW

Nottingham Forest vs Brentford

01/10/2023 – 16:00

Both teams could do with a win, so this is likely to be a thrilling, closely fought goal fest. Brentford were unusually dire against Everton last week and Forest have not been beaten at the City Ground this season. Both teams have scored more goals than any of the other teams in the lower half of the table, but teams are also finding it easy to score against them.

DRAW (Put money down on both teams scoring)

Fulham vs Chelsea

02/10/2023 – 21:00

Chelsea have a great manager and talented players so it is mind blowing that they are so bad. They have been creating chances, the problem is they have not been converting them. If Pochettino got the striker he wanted (Harry Kane) this team would be higher up the table than 14th. But c’est la vie! Fulham are unbeaten in four of their last six games while the illustrious neighbours have failed to win 9 of their last 10 league matches have failed to score in their last three. Fulham could just take all three points, if only because they are more likely to score than the visitors.

FULHAM TO WIN

Luton vs Burnley

03/10/2023 – 20:30

This is going to be scrappy. This game, rescheduled from Week 2, is very important to both teams. If other results go their way, a win could lift one of these teams out of the bottom three.
