Manchester United vs Everton

The Red Devils have been on a good run of form. This could be the ideal time to use their momentum to push for much-needed silverware. The Toffees held City on New Year’s Eve but got thumped by Bournemouth in their midweek EPL clash.

The departure of Ronaldo has some believing United lack firepower, but Ten Haag believes they have enough talent to bother the team down the M6. Pressure is mounting on Frank Lampard, beating United (at Old Trafford) may just be enough to buy him time to turn things around at Goodison.

Brentford vs West Ham

The Bees are buzzing. They outplayed and outmuscled Liverpool on Monday night while West Ham could only manage a midweek draw with fellow strugglers Leeds. The Hammers ending a five-game losing streak was overshadowed by the passing of David Gold, their co-chairman.

David Moyes hopes the Hammers will find more joy in their cup run but, their poor performances against London teams in the Cups, it could grind to a halt against Brentford. High flying Brentford could be without their star striker Ivan Toney, but Yoane Wissa is proving to be an able stand in.

Liverpool vs Wolves

Wolves boss Julian Lopetegui will be looking to exploit Liverpool’s nerves after their defeat to Brentford and come away from Anfield with a shock win for his stuttering team.

Will the Kop see new signing Cody Gakpo? Liverpool boss Klopp must field a team without the injured Diogo Jota and Virgil van Dyk, so with some shuffling the new number 18 may start. Raul Jimenez could start ahead of 34-year-old Diego Costa, if he plays, he may remind his manager why he’s still Wolves best striking option.
