OUT OF THE PALACE AND INTO THE FOREST

Nottingham Forest are close to appointing Oliver Glasner as their new head coach after Vitor Pereira’s departure.

The Austrian has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal at the City Ground, with an official announcement expected in the coming days. Glasner arrives with a compelling reputation following an impressive spell at Crystal Palace, where he led the Eagles to major domestic and European success and became one of the Premier League’s most respected tacticians.

Forest’s hierarchy believes Glasner’s attacking approach, tactical discipline and experience can help the club move forward after another unsettled spell of managerial changes. Pereira was dismissed despite keeping Forest in the Premier League and guiding the team on a strong European run, as the club opted for a fresh direction ahead of the new season.

Glasner’s appointment underlines Nottingham Forest’s ambition to climb the table and build a stable, long-term project under one of Europe’s highly regarded coaches.
