Lando Norris produced a statement performance at Zandvoort, winning a dramatic 2026 Dutch Grand Prix and giving McLaren a third consecutive victory at the iconic circuit.

The reigning world champion started from pole and eventually crossed the line ahead of Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli and George Russell.

Chaos struck almost immediately when home favourite Max Verstappen crashed out on the opening lap, ending his final Dutch Grand Prix early. The incident stunned the Orange Army, who had hoped to see their hero deliver one last memorable performance at Zandvoort.

After Antonelli took the lead following a restart, Norris had to fight back. McLaren’s strategy and fresher tyres proved decisive, allowing him to reclaim first place with 18 laps remaining and control the closing stages.

Antonelli’s second-place finish was nevertheless crucial for his championship campaign. The Mercedes youngster extended his advantage at the top of the standings to 59 points, while Norris moved into fourth and continued his late-season charge.

Hamilton finished fourth for Ferrari, followed by Charles Leclerc, while Oscar Piastri came home sixth.

Zandvoort’s final F1 farewell delivered drama, heartbreak, and a champion’s victory — a fitting farewell to one of Formula One’s most beloved circuits.
