MEXICANS BEGIN TO BELIEVE
Mexico continued their dream FIFA World Cup campaign with a commanding 2-0 victory over Ecuador to secure their place in the Round of 16.
After a brief delay due to severe weather, Javier Aguirre’s side started brightly at the Azteca Stadium and dominated the opening exchanges. Julián Quiñones broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute with a powerful finish, then set up Raúl Jiménez, who doubled the lead nine minutes later with his 47th international goal.
Ecuador improved after the break and enjoyed more possession, but struggled to break down Mexico’s disciplined defence, with goalkeeper Raúl Rangel making a key save to secure another clean sheet.
The South Americans’ frustration boiled over in stoppage time when Piero Hincapié was shown a straight red card. Mexico now moves on to face either England or DR Congo in the last 16, carrying growing momentum and belief that this talented generation can make a deep World Cup run.
The LAST 16 clashes are looking crazy and exciting & all you need to do is get those early bets in right now.
