LE CLERC SIGNS NEW FERRARI DEAL
Charles Leclerc has strengthened his long-term future with Ferrari by signing a new multi-year contract extension ahead of this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix.
The deal secures the future of the 28-year-old Monégasque driver, who has played a key role in Ferrari’s project since joining the Scuderia in 2019.
Leclerc said he was delighted to stay with Ferrari, describing the team as more than just a racing outfit and calling it a second family. The extension underlines Ferrari’s belief in a driver who has become one of Formula One’s most prominent figures.
Since joining Ferrari, Leclerc has taken multiple wins and pole positions, establishing himself as the team’s main championship challenger.
Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur praised Leclerc’s talent, commitment, and development, saying the renewed partnership is key to the team’s goal of returning to championship-winning form.
The Monaco Grand Prix gets underway on Friday with Practice 1 and 2, before Sunday’s main race. If Leclerc can take pole position, he could claim Ferrari’s first win of the season.
