John Stones has completed a move to Inter Milan as a free agent, ending his decade-long association with Manchester City and beginning a new chapter in Serie A.

The England international has signed a two-year contract with the Italian champions, keeping him at the club until June 2028.

The 32-year-old defender leaves Manchester City after an exceptional spell in which he won six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup. His experience and composure in possession make him a strong addition to Inter’s defence.

Stones attracted interest from several clubs, including Juventus, Arsenal, and Chelsea, but Inter secured his signature. His strong performances for England at the 2026 World Cup further boosted his appeal.

Inter will hope Stones’ experience at the highest level can help them compete for domestic and European honours, while the defender will be eager to establish himself as an important figure in his new surroundings.
