Manchester City have completed the blockbuster signing of Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille, securing one of Europe’s brightest young talents on a five-year contract until 2031.

The 18-year-old arrives in Manchester after a sensational rise that began when he became Lille’s youngest-ever senior player at just 16. He has since made 96 appearances for the French club and established himself as a key figure for Morocco, impressing on the world stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

City are reportedly paying around £86 million, including add-ons, making Bouaddi the most expensive teenage signing in Premier League history.

His arrival is seen as a major part of City’s midfield rebuild following the departures of Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Tijjani Reijnders. Wearing the famous No.32 shirt, Bouaddi now faces the enormous challenge of proving himself in England — but City clearly believe they have secured a future superstar.
