Chelsea has completed the surprise signing of experienced England midfielder Jordan Henderson from Brentford on a two-year contract.

The 36-year-old joins the Blues as a free agent following an impressive Premier League return with Brentford, where he made 34 appearances last season. His move to Stamford Bridge signals intent from new manager Xabi Alonso, who wants to bring experience and leadership to Chelsea’s young squad.
