ENGLAND ADVANCE TO SEMIFINALS
England booked their place in the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory over Norway in Miami on Saturday.
Thomas Tuchel’s side had to dig deep after Andreas Schjelderup gave Norway the lead, but Jude Bellingham produced another moment of brilliance to level the scores before half-time with a stunning solo effort.
Norway pushed hard for a winner in the second half, with Erling Haaland leading the attack, but England’s defence held firm under intense pressure. Just three minutes into extra time, Bellingham struck again, reacting quickest after Ørjan Nyland spilled Morgan Rogers’ effort to score the decisive goal.
Norway threw everything forward in the closing stages, even hitting the crossbar, but England survived to seal a memorable victory.
The Three Lions will now face Argentina in the semi-finals, while Bellingham’s outstanding display further strengthened his case as one of the tournament’s standout performers.
