BOKS GO TWO FOR TWO

The Springboks maintained their perfect start to the inaugural 2026 Nations Championship with a thrilling 42-28 victory over Scotland at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

South Africa produced another powerful attacking display, running in six tries to overcome a determined Scottish side that refused to back down.

The hosts appeared to have taken full control after a dominant spell early in the second half opened a commanding lead, but Scotland responded with two quick tries to cut the deficit to just seven points and set up a tense finale.

However, the Springboks showed their championship pedigree when Jesse Kriel raced clear for a late try to seal the result.

Having comfortably beaten England in their opening fixture, Rassie Erasmus’ men have now made it two wins from two and strengthened their position at the top of the standings.

Scotland, despite the defeat, earned widespread praise for pushing the world champions all the way in a pulsating contest.
