NOSKOVA – QUEEN OF WIMBLEDON

Linda Noskova captured her maiden Grand Slam title after defeating fellow Czech Karolina Muchova 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 in a dramatic 2026 Wimbledon women’s singles final at Centre Court on Saturday.

The 21-year-old looked destined for a straightforward victory after dominating the opening set and moving within a game of the championship in the second. However, Muchova mounted a spirited comeback, winning five consecutive games to force a deciding set and delight the Wimbledon crowd.

Noskova quickly regained her composure in the third set, breaking serve early before holding firm under pressure to seal the biggest victory of her career. The ninth seed clinched the title on her sixth championship point, becoming the latest Czech star to lift the Venus Rosewater Dish.

Noskova’s win delivered her first Grand Slam title and cemented her status as one of women’s tennis’s brightest rising stars, while Muchova was left to reflect on a determined comeback that fell short.
