ERIKSEN IN STABLE CONDITION

The football world was relieved after Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen was reported stable following his collapse during Sunday’s international friendly against Ukraine in Odense.

The 34-year-old collapsed in the 65th minute after appearing to clutch his chest, prompting immediate treatment from team doctors and emergency staff. As medics dealt with him, players from both teams formed a protective circle and the match was later abandoned. Danish football officials said Eriksen quickly regained consciousness, walked to the ambulance, and was taken to hospital for further tests.

Denmark team doctor Morten Boesen revealed that Eriksen is “doing well under the circumstances” and remains in good spirits while undergoing precautionary tests. Initial reports indicated that his implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD), fitted following his cardiac arrest at Euro 2021, functioned as intended.

While further medical evaluations are ongoing, the positive updates have provided reassurance to supporters around the world, with Eriksen’s health remaining the primary concern following another frightening incident on the pitch.
