FIVE IN A ROW FOR KIMI

Kimi Antonelli continued his impressive rise in Formula One by winning the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix, his fifth straight victory, and tightening his hold on the World Championship.

The 19-year-old Mercedes driver produced a flawless drive through the streets of Monte Carlo, turning pole position into a commanding win despite a late red flag and several race interruptions.

Antonelli crossed the line ahead of Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari, while Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar completed the podium. The win extends Antonelli’s championship advantage to 66 points after just six rounds of the season, underlining the Italian’s growing status as the clear title favourite.

The Monaco triumph is significant for more than just the championship standings. Antonelli became the youngest winner in Monaco Grand Prix history and joined an elite group of drivers to achieve five victories in succession. His consistency, speed and maturity have transformed Mercedes into the team to beat in 2026.

Looking ahead, the rest of the Formula One season could hinge on whether Ferrari, Red Bull, and McLaren can stop Antonelli’s momentum.

Mercedes clearly has the fastest car, and Antonelli continues to deliver with remarkable composure. Unless that changes, the championship looks increasingly likely to be his, and Formula One could be watching the emergence of its next dominant champion.

Kimi will go for six from six when the F1 circus travels to Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix.
