King Kohli secured back-to-back Championships for Challengers

Royal Challengers Bengaluru etched their name deeper into IPL history after securing a second consecutive title with a commanding five-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans in the 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Led by captain Rajat Patidar, RCB successfully defended their crown and became only the third franchise to win back-to-back IPL championships.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl, RCB produced a disciplined performance to restrict Gujarat Titans to 155/8. The bowling attack struck early, removing key batters and preventing the Titans from building significant momentum throughout their innings.

RCB’s chase was anchored by Virat Kohli, who finished unbeaten on 75 off 42 balls. Blending calm control with attacking stroke play, he guided Bengaluru to 161/5 with two overs remaining. His match-winning knock earned him the Player of the Match award and capped another memorable campaign.

The victory confirmed RCB’s emergence as the dominant force in the IPL, transforming years of near misses into the beginning of a modern dynasty
