Simba SC head coach Steve Barker has been named February Coach of the Month, marking his first award since joining the club from Stellenbosch FC.

Under Barker’s leadership, Simba SC played three league games in February, securing two wins and a draw. This strong run helped the team climb to fourth place in the league standings, just nine points behind leaders Young Africans, with two games in hand.

February Performance Highlights

Barker’s Simba side scored a total of four goals across three matches:

• KMC 0-2 Simba SC – a dominant away victory
• Tanzania Prisons 0-2 Simba SC – another impressive away win
• Dodoma Jiji FC 0-0 Simba SC – a hard-fought goalless draw

This unbeaten streak in the league now spans six games since Barker took charge in December, with three wins and three draws.

Despite a CAF Champions League exit, Barker appears to be settling well at the club and building momentum ahead of the domestic season.

Simba SC will return to action this Thursday as they travel to face fifth-placed Pamba, aiming to extend their strong run.
